CYSIAM's new operations centre
Updated: Oct 8, 2019
CYSIAM's new operations centre will be based in the Cranfield Innovation Centre (CIC) from January 2019. The CIC is part of the Cranfield University Technology Park located close to Milton Keynes and the M1. The CIC's close proximity to the thriving Oxford-Cambridge corridor with its fantastic domestic and international transport links will allow us to grow and evolve within an environment of technical excellence.
It's important for us to develop strong links with academia who are working at the leading edge of digital innovation. We look forward to the prospect of close working relationships with Cranfield University on projects where our experience can add value to its important work in manufacturing innovation and the advancement of cyber skills in the UK.
Also, the plan for a brand new Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) 'new-model' university in the heart of Milton Keynes is a key consideration. Planned to open in 2023, the proposed ‘MK:U’ university will host 15,000 students and focus on vocational and STEM subjects relating to digital, cyber, autonomy, robotics and artificial intelligence. The project, backed by Cranfield University and Milton Keynes (MK) Council, is one of the flagship elements of the MK Futures 2050 programme.
